Big Day Tomorrow, Tuesday 9th May ... ETN GRaPA P&A Seminar

Tomorrow, Tuesday 9th May 2023, Energy Transition Norway, together with the Go Radical P&A project team, will be hosting a half-day Seminar in Stavanger to promote the GRaPA project. Already, over 80 Well Abandonment specialists have signed up for the event.

The Go Radical P&A project is an Energy Transition Norway cluster project with an ambitious goal: To deliver radically new technical solutions that will enable a step change reduction (>50%) in the environmental footprint and cost to perform P&A operations worldwide while ensuring the prevention of longer-term leakage from abandoned wells.

Tim Croucher, Kjell Erik Drevdal, and David Gardner, the three O&G specialists that have been engaged by ETN to manage this project, believe that some form of partnership is necessary to reach their goal, comprising several technical ssolutions and operational service providers. These organizations would work together collaboratively to deliver a package/toolbox of solutions and services for future plugging operations.

The project's current phase involves delivering new methodology for P&A operations supported by a portfolio of potential technical development projects. You are invited to learn more about the GRaPA project including insights from an industry perspective, an operator perspective, and an authority perspective, in a half-day seminar.

Three major players in the Norwegian O&G industry are supporting this phase of the GRaPA project: Equinor, TotalEnergies, and Aker BP.
